Introduction: From a long time ago, benefiting from TECHNOLOGY has been an inevitable thing for human interests, which is born and based on science. It can be claimed that there is harmony between ethics, science and TECHNOLOGY, which promote each other. In this article, the researcher discusses this harmony and compatibility. Material and Methods: The current review study was descriptive and using the study of sources and research keywords among the books and articles published in the databases of Thomson Information Institute, Science Direct and Pub Med. Conclusion: As science and TECHNOLOGY continue to advance and become more integrated into our daily lives, ethical considerations become increasingly important. For example, the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) has raised questions about the potential implications of creating machines that can make autonomous decisions and take actions. If science and TECHNOLOGY were considered as a tool, it should have been able to subjugate humans and influence all aspects of behavior and values. While it has become a problem that eventually becomes aligned with morality by applying reason, and people now seek help from it as a tool.

Abstract:

From long ago, water has been the most important element of development and reclamation in the world. The specific situation of water resources, heterogeneous rainfall distribution, frequent droughts and disregard to the principles related to the maintenance and protection of water resources have attracted the human’s creative mind toward themselves throughout the history. Therefore, various methods have been followed in order to discover creative and original solutions for this problem. Moreover, optimum applications of techniques for utilizing underground waters and more promotion of the related training have been considered. Excavating underground waters using Qanat, as an amazing hand-made phenomenon, has been interesting for many historians and researchers.Today, these natural, eco-friendly and stable systems are among the exciting educational and scientific topics in the advanced countries’ research centers and universities. Qanat is the persistent and hidden-in-the-soil heritage and one of the cultural and scientific Iranian treasures. In fact, Qanat is one of the most important NATIVE-born buildings in Iran which has been developed as the result of Iranian art and culture through the generations. Studying Qanats from tourism point of view, paying attention to the issue of education and holding training workshops can not only clarify a number of vague points of the NATIVE TECHNOLOGY trend in this land but also advance economic, cultural and scientific developments in Iran.In this paper Qanat’s stable TECHNOLOGY is studied in Iranian culture and its influence on the ecosystem and natural landscape is investigated. Furthermore, the issue of training promotion is considered to be essential whether from technical ecosystem aspects or from historical, cultural, economic and social viewpoints. Permanent utilization, revival and maintenance of Qanats as the human’s greatest achievement are analyzed aiming at expanding the related knowledge and TECHNOLOGY, developing a new attitude toward it and advancing tourism.

Abstract:

Refineries are amongst the most energy-intensive and polluting industries in the world. BioTECHNOLOGY may serve as an alterNATIVE low-cost and environmental-friendly tool to the current costly, toxic and hazardous refining processes. In this study, the compositional redistribution of a heavy hydrocarbon cut is investigated under biological conversion using NATIVE microbial consortia. The NATIVE consortia were obtained by batch enrichment method applied on oil-polluted soil samples from oil refineries of Iran. The bioconversion experiments were conducted with 20% and 40% (v/v) of the heavy cut as the sole carbon source and 10% (v/v) of the consortia broth in 250 ml flasks containing a mineral medium. The samples kept at 30°C stirring at 120 rpm for one week. The biotreated hydrocarbons were then separated and analyzed for determination of saturate, aromatic and resin fractions using column chromatography and gravimetric measurements. The results showed that the amounts of saturates increased by 6% to 92% while the resins decreased by 10% to 70% in most cases, compared to the blank. The GC-Mass analysis of the saturate fractions also revealed an increase in the cyclic and branched alkanes and a decrease in the S-containing and N-containing compounds.

Abstract:

Many books have been written to illustrate the position of the new technologies in teaching and learning a foreign or second language (L2); nonetheless, most of these books have not been successful. The Handbook of TECHNOLOGY and Second Language Teaching and Learning edited by Caral A. Chapell and Shanon Sauro and published by Wiley Blackwell in 2017, provides a comprehensive overview of the various facets of the use of TECHNOLOGY in teaching and learning an L2. This book has not been translated into Persian and no critical review has been published for it; accordingly, this study sought to both introduce and critically review this book. The current critical review revealed some advantages including comprehensiveness of the whole book, the expertise of the writers, up-to-dateness, content and format integrity, and the use of valid sources. The main criticisms are the exclusion of some of the very recent technologies, perhaps due to the ever-changing and exponentially volatile nature of the technological improvements and expansions, the introduction of too many technologies at the theoretical level without providing information about their practical use. Generally, the book is an invaluable and academically written source for L2 practitioners, postgraduate students, and researchers.

Abstract:

Traditional axioms of translation directionality indicate that translation into the first language (NATIVE translation) is flawless and fluent while translation into the second language (non-NATIVE translation) is imperfect and unnatural. The present research aimed at measuring Toury's initial norm including acceptability and adequacy in the NATIVE and non-NATIVE translations of Hedayat's (1903-1957) stories. After finding the number of micro-level shifts in the translated texts, the data analysis showed that the NATIVE translators had a greater tendency to deviate from the source text patterns compared with the non-NATIVE translators. Non-NATIVE translators were less inclined to adopt shifts in their work, and adhered closely to the source language norms. It was concluded that non- NATIVE translators translate more acceptably due to the interference from the source text and their cultural affinity with the original author.

Abstract:

Background and objectives: The roots of the plants are used as a kind of materials in the slopes preservation and resistance. Because in addition to helping to preserving and resisting the environment, it has recovery ability and has no harmful and negative effects on the environment and has no additional costs too. Plant cover is caused for pastiness between soil particles for having root system and has significant impact in slope stabilization, for this reason, the biological characteristics of different species has great importance. The quantity of reinforcement depends on root biotechnical characteristics such as root density and tensile strength. In this study assessed these biotechnical properties. Materials and methods: In this study, two non-NATIVE afforested stands of pine (Pinus Sylvesteres) and acacia (Robinia Peseudo acasia) and two natural stands with NATIVE species of hornbeam (Carpinus Betulus) and summer alder (Alnus Subcordata) with similar habitat conditions (altitude, Slope and direction of slope, soil type, geology, etc) in the forest of Neka city (Neka-Zalmarud forestry plan) was and Six trees of each species were randomly selected for later analysis. The Root Area Ratio and tensile strength were investigated. Profile trenching method was used to analyze and compare their root distribution. The walls of the profile are divided into 10 cm horizons. Number and diameter of protruded roots in each depth were measured. Finally, the percentage of Root Area Ratio in each horizon was calculated. Standard Santam was used to determine the tensile strength of roots. Root samples were collected at the bottom (30% slope) of trees. Results: The results indicated that the Root Area Ratio were decreased with increasing depth According to the exponential function. The Root area ratio in non-NATIVE species is higher than NATIVE species. Which has obtained for Carpinus Betulus, Alnus Subcordata, Robinia Peseudo acasia and Pinus Sylvesteres, 0. 033± 0. 002, 0. 081± 0. 002, 0. 026± 0. 018± 0. 177± 0. 015 percent respectively. The diameter range of the tested roots was 2-9 mm. The results of tensile strength tests showed that with increasing diameter, the amount of tensile strength according to the According to the exponential function decreased. There is a positive power relationship between root diameter and tensile force. Conclusion: In this research tensile strength of NATIVE species is more than non-NATIVE one that has obtained for Carpinus Betulus, Alnus Subcordata, Robinia Peseudo acasia and Pinus Sylvesteres, 31. 93± 10. 3, 17. 57± 6. 98, 18. 4± 2. 41, 9. 77± 5. 46 Mpa respectively. The results of this work may help us when applying an efficient bioengineering technique

Abstract:

The current study aimed at examining the relationship between English language teachers’ assessment literacy and their teaching experience. In other words, it intended to inspect the relationship between NATIVE and non-NATIVE English language teachers’ assessment literacy and their teaching experience. To achieve such goals, 100 NATIVE and non-NATIVE English teachers from ESL and EFL contexts were picked out on the basis of a combination of availability sampling and snowball sampling procedures. They were asked to take part in the study by filling out Classroom Assessment Literacy Inventory developed by Cynthia Campbell and Craig Mertler (2004). The results revealed that there was a positive relationship between NATIVE English language teachers’ perspectives regarding assessment literacy and their experience. Besides, 32 percent of shared variances between NATIVE teachers’ perspectives regarding assessment literacy and their experiences. However, there was not any significant relationship between non-NATIVE English language teachers’ perspectives regarding assessment literacy and their experience.
